Ben, despite a distance of nearly 50 miles, we can see the Freedom Tower from our local beach. Near sunset, it throws off reflected light of amazing intensity. This always makes me think of you and Craig, that it's fitting, the determination to rebuild complementing the determination you both brought to everything you did. Prayers to you both and to your families.

Ben and Laura, Thinking of you both today (and your family.) I can't belive 11 years have gone by already. Every once a while we talk about Ben and Richard Dunstun (who was also lost that day). My colleage Sean and I had the pleasure of playing golf with them at Fiddlers Elbow. It was a beautifull day with a lot of laughs and we always remeber Ben's 'mulligan' on the 17th hole, and still smile. You will always be remebered. Maureen (Harrington) Naples

Ben, ten years yet all is remembered and nothing forgotten.... Your focus on your family Your fierce pride in your work The clarity of your position or thoughts on any issue The relationships you built in the market and the genuine affection those people had for you A thunderous boom overhead that pure blue sky morning The calls to you up on the floor that would not go through The hole punched high in the side of Tower One The recognition of loss.... Wishing all God's blessings to you and to your family, Bob

Last night, I had the honor and the privilege to attend a dinner for the 9/11 charity Tuesday's Children with Ben's wife, Laura, daughter, Samantha, and Frank Guerrerio from Guy Carpenter. I was so happy to be able to tell them how much Ben means to us at Marsh and how he is not forgotten. We laughed and cried talking about his raucuous laugh, incessant chatter, blue language in the true British style, love of his family and ability to nail an insurance deal home. Laura and the children are doing very well. I met Henry at the Marsh memorial service on Friday. He is 18 and starting his second year at Villanova. Samantha is a beautiful, poised, blond 14 year old who looks like her father. She is looking to be a lawyer or doctor someday. I did not meet Christopher as he had a football game in Suffern that day. Laura told me the story of how she and Ben met in 1986. I did not know they met at Guy Carpenter! They had a summer together here in NYC when Ben was on a summer exchange and then she was able to arrange an exchange for herself in London. The rest, as they say, is history. Laura and family are going to England at Christmas to see Ben's mother and family and they remain close. Frank has stayed close to Laura and still helps out however he can. This is as good a tribute as it gets, I think. Laura also mentioned how much it meant to her to receive and read the memory book we in the Midwest Region of Marsh put together for her 10 years ago. I was very moved to know that. Laura, Henry, Christopher and Samantha, we send our love and prayers to you on this day and always in memory of our dear friend and coworker, Ben Walker. Ben, we will never forget you. Until we meet again....

Only just come across this site. Ben, we still miss you and think about you! We go back a long way and have so many memories: of our time at Bowrings together and our regular ' choir practices' at the pub, usher at our wedding and most importantly the time we spent together with you, Laura and the children and our family. You had so much energy and enthusiasm and could always rely on you to cheer us up if we were feeling down! You, Laura and your children are in our thoughts Love Lisa and Jim xx

You never said I'm leaving You never said goodbye You were gone before I knew it, And only God knew why A million times I needed you, A million times I cried If Love alone could have saved you, You never would have died In Life I loved you dearly In death I love you still In my heart you hold a place, That no one could ever fill It broke my heart to lose you, But you didn't go alone For part of me went with you, The day God took you home Happy Father's Day Ben, we miss you so much, xoxo

Having known Ben since the day he was born, being a friend of his family, I would like to say how inspiring it is to see so many of his work colleagues remembering him. He was always eager to get on with life, never in fear of anything or anyone and enjoyed a party like no-one else I have known. Thanks for what you added to this world Ben. Gordon
