It's been almost 10 months since that awful day and I still can't get the images nor the sorrow of friends and colleagues taken way too early out of my mind. I knew Jon when I worked at Marsh from '88-'94. I knew him as someone who went out of his way to help me understand how the business worked and how the software we used (yes, the famous BASYS system), intrinsically functioned to gather information. But I most remember him when we did a film for our MMIS Quarterly meeting, "BASYS in Space" where he played an evil scientist plotting to create the perfect trainer. He was a natural and received a big hand at our meeting. Years later as I moved to Tarrytown, I often saw him on the platform at the Tarrytown station. We exchanged hellos and brief conversations, he liked sitting several cars back, I liked sitting up front. Almost every day I pass the spot where he had stood waiting for the train. I keep thinking that one day he will show up again there with his newspaper and smile and a hello. He will be missed.

Jon Albert was my former boss back in 1985 when I was employed by Marsh & McLennan. We worked at 1221 Avenue of the Americas and he was a great man. I enjoyed working with Mr. Albert. He was funny, witty and a respectable man. When I found out he was one of the employees who lost their life I cried and till this day, can't believe he is gone. My prayers goes out to the Albert family. He is in a better place and may all of the employees of Marsh who lost their lives rest in peace. With much respect,
