Mary, because of her devotion to work and sense of duty, arrived to work too early on the morning of September 11th, 2001. Due to her approved absence the previous day, she felt the need to be in the office earlier than usually, just in case her work had piled up, only to encounter such a terrible destiny. Mary was a perfectionist. Since her job had to do with payments to vendors and company employees, she always did her best to pay them on time. She was always pleasnt and kind, never a bad utterance about anyone and always ready to help if any one in the department needed help.
As a friend she was trusted and faithful. I enjoyed her company inmensely. I had known Mary for nearly 26 years and she was always the same: honest, umpretentious, kind and deeply religious. I could go on and on describing her qualities, not only as a friend and co-worker, but as a mother, wife and member of her church. We who knew Mary feel deeply sadden at her disappearance and we missed her every day of our lives.
