The Big Guy. I know Earl from when I first started @Guy Carpenter back in April 1977. He was my first GC friend. I think back at all the good times we had in the office and on the softball team. He always had a smile on his face and could make you laugh even when you didn't want to. He was the type of person who would give you the shirt off his back. I was privledged to know you. Thanks for everything. Ed

I met Earl in 1982 - it was my interview day and He hired me. 25 years later I still think of him and the opportunity he gave me and the trust and belief he had in me all those years ago. He never judged and he alway encouraged us to be the best at what we did. Next February I celebrate 25 years at Guy Carpenter and rest assured there is a place for Earl at that table. He has the best seat in the house - in my mind and in my heart. Always Rembered ....Earl. Stephen

| More than a moment of silence, on this day and everyday may we use our lives to honor and respectfully remember you. With careful consideration we continue on where you could have gone, good left undone, countless gifts not given. We will not fail; we will not forget you, our precious family, our dear friend, our inspiration.

With a terrible sadness we mark this day, the third anniversary of the morning we lost each of you. In the end it is only a marker. The grief, sorrow and the incredible possibilities that we lost in those horrific moments remain with us every day. We weep, no, sob from a place deep, deep inside that has been left empty by your absence. And we pray, for you, your families, your friends, and your colleagues. And for ourselves may God give us the strength to go forward and honor you with our lives. We will never forget you. Patricia Barraza

Bye Earl. Shanahan's will not forget you either. For anyone concerned most of us Shanahan's have the same sense of humor. We Shanahan's are like the Kennedy's we see wrong and try to right it. Not make it worse. I never knew Earl, but we miss him too and all else that peished in that event. Thomas Shanahan
