Family Tribute:

Danielle Delie

45 years old

New York, New York

She was generous, compassionate, smart, funny and a connoisseur of fine food, wine, and fashion -- especially French. She loved visiting friends and family in the Hamptons, Long Island, and in France. Vacations in St. Barts and St. Martin were welcome respites from a demanding but exhilarating life in Manhattan. She was renowned for her facility with words, evidenced by her quick wit, the quality of her writing, and her ability to polish off the Times crossword puzzle in record time in INK!

A warm friend, Danni had many enduring relationships spanning childhood schoolmates from Dominican Academy which has established a scholarship fund in her name, classmates from Boston College her Alma Mater, business associates from the CPA firm RGL Gallagher, for which Danni, a partner, established the NYC office, as well as co-workers at Marsh & McLennan.

Danielle loved life, her pets and people, including her parents, numerous godchildren, nieces, as well as the friends who miss her every day.

Danielle was a classmate at Dominican Academy - we graduated in 1972. I have such fond memories of our senior class trip to France - she, being fluent in French, helped us navigate the language and customs on our trip. I will always remember her zest for life and her ever present smile.

Danni was one of my students when I taught at Dominican Academy in NYC. The memory of her is very vivid and will stay so. What a wonderful young woman I knew.

Danielle was a childhood frend of my sister and myself. She was a wonderful person. Coming from a family of 8 we didn't have much -- she and her parents always took us to the beach and were very good to us.

We have lots of fond memories of her. We miss you and will keep you in our prayers.

Love

Tina and Lorie
