Hey Tim and the Reilly/Hughes Family I was watching the news last night and they were reporting from the 9/11 memorial at ground zero. The shot was a woman reflecting on a loved ones engraved name, and whose name is top right, Timothy E Reilly! Just like Tim to show up , odds of one in 3,000. I met Tim at the Tiki Room in Dedham, Mass probably 1985, Columbus day weekend. He was with some guy named JC, they both went to Stonehill with my roomates, Lumpy and "The Kid" (aka Scott Rousseau and Gary Curran). Tim and I found a Brockton link and thus began our freindship. Tim's Uncle Tom (First Down Brockton!) was a teacher at BHS where I went to school and his parents were close friends with my neighbors , the Milletts, from Holy Cross and having served in the military together. We had many a good time skiing, and apres ski. I remember Tim worrying about Brendan at school and talking about grilling steaks out in the cold at Christmas with Chuck and Brendan. I miss my friend Tim and hope to hear about 50th birthday party for Tim on 10/5/11. We can do our own Boston area party, Brendan email me jmcdonald@vioc.net, if not I will have a Bud on my own and remember all of the times that Tim clinked that bottle to mine and smile at the good times! Thanks Tim!

A few years ago I visited the museum at Ground Zero and afterwards I made a donation and received a bracelet that honored a victim of the 9/11 attacks on the USA. There is a US flag and a name on the bracelet. The name on my bracelet is Timothy E. Reilly. WTC. I am a flight attendant and tomorrow (Sept. 11, 2011) I take to the skies for a long journey from Detroit to Shanghai. I will wear my bracelet with pride in honor of your special, son, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend- Timothy E. Reilly. I am so sorry for your loss. We will never forget. Beth N. Chicago, IL

Knowing Tim, playing tennis together as the MMC tennis squad will always remain some of my fondest memories I have of my 6 years at Marsh. What a shining guy tim was and will always be for all who knew him. I was the team captain when 9/11 occurred and recall traveling to Larchmont for Tim's wake with a few team members... We were all stunned but not shocked by that turnout. Clearly a new angel was created when Tim was lost.

I am thinking and talking about Tim all the time. I reminded my children that they went to their fisrt circus because time gave us tickets. I will be celebrating his bday today.

Wow. What an amazing photo of Tim! The photo captures what everyone knew about him - that he was genuine, warm, gregarious, charming, and open. He lived, worked, and played with a zest for life and we can all learn from his example. Live each day like the last, for tomorrow is not promised. I didn't understand that then but I do now. It's taken me a few years to write about Tim. I still can't believe he died that Day. I think about him and tell my kids about him all the time. I look at the great photos I'm lucky to have of him and smile. I was one of his college roommates. The school would room you according to your last name. Reilly, Reid, Russell, Ricciardi. I walked into the dorm on the 1st day of school as a 17 year old country boy from Mass. "Riles" was the first person I met in the room. I'll never forget his huge (and real!) smile and handshake that moment. I knew I had found a lifetime buddy and rare person. We played on the tennis team together (he could kick my butt) chased coeds (poorly) drank beer (well) and have so many outrageous great memories together I can never even list them all. What a rare person Riles was! Completely unique, and open, and warm, and COOL. He made me a much better, more savvy kid in college. He also taught me about New Yorkers. He brought me to McSorley's Pub, SOHO, Brooklyn, and parties with this NYC friends. So cool. So great of him to do for me. When we had careers I visited him many times in NYC to catch up and hang out. We had become responsible grown men but still mischievous college teens underneath. Those later visits will also always stay with me. Riles was one of a kind. I miss him every day, and I'm making sure my own teens know about him, and what happened that Day. Later Riles... -Willis

Looking for Tim's first site tonight to write a hello but couldn't find it. This is very nice all the same. Love that picture of Tim. I had been telling my brother about Tim the other day as we were sailing in Newport Harbor where Tim once sailed with me and 14 other Stonehill friends one beautiful spring day. My guess is it was 1981. I wanted to say that he is not forgotten up in R.I. Thinking of you all on this September 11th 2009.

I may not know you but I know that you are family.I am Margaret Olivia Reilly, but people call me Maggie.I was born on October 5 too, but in 1997.My father's name is Timothy Reilly too!

But anyway I wish that you may rest in peace, and I hope immensly that when my time comes I will be able to meet you and be with up in heaven.

P.S. Michael Joseph Reilly died around Thanksgiving so I hope you see him up there!(Michael Joseph Reilly = My grandfather

Timothy Reilly was part of my family, but I don't now how I am related to him.My mother told me that he did die in the World Trade Center bombing tragedy.My dad's name is also Timnothy Reilly so i knew in an split second he was family.I wish that he may rest in peace and when I go up to where he is I hope immensly that I will meet him.

I couldn't believe when I received the notice from St. Mary's Chapel on Stonehill College about the loss of Tim. I remember playing tennis with Tim while we were both on Stonehill's Varsity Tennis team and seeing him often around campus. Stonehill is a small school and we were all very friendly to one another. Tim was a great guy with a great sense of humor. Although over 20 years have passed since we graduated, I think of my friends from that time of my life often; Tim is missed dearly.

It's hard to believe that it's been 5 years since that day. I can still remember Tim and his dedication to Marsh and its clients, even when we were going through the merger back in 1997.

Tim was a great golfer, yet humble. I'll never forget how kind he was to me during a tournament that a client asked me to play in. Tim would hit the ball long and strait, while mine would often wind up in the trees. He never made me feel badly that day, we just went on and laughed.

Tim was truly a fine person. I will always miss his example and friendship. I pray for him and his family.

I couldn't pass this to make one more "bump into" with Tim. I met Tim when he was with Hall and we were all kids. Over the years I would always bump into the ever well dappered Tim somewhere on the street after work. I think he liked to at least keep a pulse on what happened after work sometimes with a frothy beverage? What I always liked about Tim is you never felt like you were being judged. Y'all know his demeanor...it was a class act. With just a hint...just a small hint...of perceived mischief that had the potential to cause some kind of fun? Here's to one of my street buddies to which I promise I will raise a silent toast to next.

Timmy, You were one of a kind. You definitely left a lasting impression, especially for your human compassion and kindness. You will always be remembered. Fondest memories.

I had the distinct pleasure of meeting Tim when he was working as a property claims consultant in the J&H Marsh Boston office. Ed Bates and I were part of the "claims interview team" for Tim when he was thinking of moving there from the New York office. In spite of the many challenges presented by the the then new company- J&H Marsh & McLennan, Tim made the decision to come to Boston, and made all of us there the richer for it with his sense of humor, friendship and loyalty.

When I decided to leave Boston, it was Tim that organized the going away party for me at the Hard Rock Cafe across the street. He made the arrangements, coordinated the time and made sure people showed up, complete with gags, gifts and a lot of laughs. Of all the people that were there, Tim knew me for the least amount of time, but it was Tim that made it a point to show me I would be missed. That was the kind of guy he was.

I will miss you, Tim. My heart goes out to all your family of whom you were so proud, and all who knew you.

May the sun rise up to meet you, may the wind always be at your back, may the rain fall soft upon your fields, and until we meet again, may God hold you in the palm of His hand.

Well Rocko, every time I think of a mets game or a golf game or a party somewhere, or pass a place we tipped a few, (which was everyplace in NYC) I think of you and for a split second, I forget what happened. In that split second I think of calling you and getting together for some fun. There were so many fond, many hazy, memories that I am reminded of you very often and give myself a little chuckle about some place or adventure we had. Cheers! Seamus

I met Timmy in 1988 when I went to work in the Commercial Department of Frank B. Hall of NY. Tim sat in front of me and we both worked on Lynne Giordano's team. Tim was usually late and Marjorie Esposito and I would try to cover for him. He always charmed Lynne into not being mad at him. We had a great group of young, single people in the department and I enjoyed hanging out with Jim, Mike, Shawn, Matt, Judy, Marjorie and Tim.

My favorite memories of Tim are dancing with him at the infamous Tri City parties, going to the Water Street Tavern, and having him as my date at one of the J&H holiday parties.

I thought Tim was still working in the Stamford office and when someone called me on September 11th to ask about him, I was shocked to learn he was at the WTC office.

I will miss Tim's big smile and his love of life.

I miss you more every day big brother.
