I'll never forget the times in the lunch room on the 22nd floor at 130 John. I also remember all the mornings we walked to work together from the World Trade Center and riding home on the Path.When I left Willcox you asked me, "Why do all the good ones leave?" believe me I ask that same question about you every 9/11.

I will always remember the night of August 23, 2001 when we went to the Met game and it wound up being the last time I saw you. Still can't believe it!! I'll also rememeber all the lunches at Jeremy's and all the times I would be cracking up at one of your jokes and you'd ask me. "You're not offended by that are you?" with that infectious smile on your face. It's ironic that you thought my brain tumor was so terrible and then look what happened to you. What they said at your service was true-EVERYBODY LOVED JOE!!!!!

With a terrible sadness we mark this day, the third anniversary of the morning we lost each of you. In the end it is only a marker. The grief, sorrow and the incredible possibilities that we lost in those horrific moments remain with us every day. We weep, no, sob from a place deep, deep inside that has been left empty by your absence. And we pray, for you, your families, your friends, and your colleagues. And for ourselves may God give us the strength to go forward and honor you with our lives. We will never forget you.

Nancy, I hope Albert, Jack and Nicolas are told what a wonderful mother they had. I hope they keep those memories of you, of your gentleness and dedication to them, of how you gave your sons everything you had because you loved them so much. I never doubted, when I saw you with Albert, that he was everything to you. I'm sure that you felt the same towards your two younger sons, too. Jill (Kerby) Redden and I still think of you and love you.

Thank you all for remembering her, she is dearly missed. It is so nice to know she had such wonderful friends. We believe she is at peace.

Remembering - Just today I was looking at the picture from our summer 2001 outing where we were standing together smiling. I can remember that day so vividly, laughing and sharing that group moment. I wanted to write to say we remember you and think of you as we go on. We miss your being, but feel your presence. I believe that your spirit is our angel watching over us in a dangerous world. Remembering you keeps you with us and brings us peace in turmoil. In this season of renewal and everyday since we “lost” you we keep you and your loved ones in our thoughts and prayers.
