Twenty years ago a wonderful soul was lost to heartless actions. May our Heavenly Father continue to comfort our hearts as we fondly remember Cesar.

Cesar was, simply put, a really, really great guy! I was an outside vendor who worked with Cesar for over 2 years rolling out a CRM solution. We became more than just colleagues, we became friends. I was invited to, and attended his wedding. I think of you often, but always on September 11th. God Speed my friend! I remember and honor you....

I visited Ground Zero for the first time yesterday. I was interested in finding Cesar's name on the memorial. I walked over to the north tower pool and took a look and was disappointed to find that the names weren't in any kind of order. I literally scanned 3 feet of the massive memorial and found Cesar without taking a step. I still can't believe it and I am glad people were with me to witness it. If you are interested in finding Cesar on the memorial his name is on the 2nd or 3rd panel from the north on the West Street Side.

Hey Cesar. The last time I saw you, I was about 9 or 10 years old. This is your nephew Richie. Mom, Migdalia Garcia (your sister), passed away on July 9, 2011. I'm sure you knew that because I know you were waiting for her at the pearl gates with grandpa. Grandpa passed only a few weeks before mom. Anyway, mom spoke about you all the time. She told be how you were in the military before your career with Marsh. I too, was in the US Army and I was enlisted during 9/11. I have been a Federal Air Marshal since. Mom was planning on attending this 10 year anniversary at Ground Zero just as she has attended every year since that horrible day. Know this, I fly for you and mom. Your blood flows through my veins. I fly for every soul that made their trip to the heavens. I'm in flight as I type this. (Airplanes have wifi now and I bet you are excited about that since mom told me you were an IT guru.) You're always in my thoughts. -Richie

Cesar You hired me as your replacement in 95 when you left a small company to work for Marsh. Your integrity, work ethic and kindness left a huge impression on me. May you rest in peace.

Cesar I did not know you at all, but I was just watching a documentary here in my home in Sydney, Australia on 9/11 and it happened to pause on some footage showing your name and this company, so I felt compelled to write a message expressing my thoughts and condolences to your family and loved ones and everyone touched by this tragedy. With deepest sympathy, Paul

Condolences to the Garcia Family as we remember their loss these 8 years since. Cesar, so glad to note your friends thinking of you. Some strangers can only say, sorry not to have known you. I can only humbly acknowledge that so many of us can not adequately express in words our deepest sense of loss, our American lives stolen violently by foreign terrorists on 9/11/01. In remembrance of your life, friend, RIP, from a HotAir pilgrim.

Cesar and I were so close we told everyone we were brother and Sister. We have been friends since the 3rd Grade. I introduced Cesar to his wife Celeste who worked with me at the time. He came to my wedding and dance with me with all my uncles. He became the godfather of my son Jordan in 95. My world will never ever be the same without my brother in my life. I hope I see that face again when cross into paradise. We remember him with a heavy heart of love and laughter. Till we see each other again Michelle

Cesar and I both worked together at Marsh and we quickly became friends. He always had the most interesting stories to tell about his experiences in the service and he was quite the event planner. I'll never forget the website he had set up to track upcoming events like Skirmish, Wine Tasting, or the annual Christmas Shopping trip. While I never had the opportunity to join him for those events, my wife and I did get the opportunity to vacation with Cesar and his then fiancee, Celeste, in the summer of 2002. We have great memories of that trip where we spent many hours in a cabin in the mountains telling ghost stories and speaking of the afterlife. I'll also never forget when the four of us found the perfect spot on the beach to watch the fireworks. It was only four months later that we were celebrating Cesar and Celeste's wedding with them. Three months after that, our son Jonathan was born. With our busy schedules, we had trouble getting together but, nervertheless Cesar and Celeste sent us a gift for Jonathan, a stuffed animal. Six months after that gift arrived, our world changed and Cesar was taken from us. While Jonathan will never get to know Cesar, he is now good friends with Cesar's niece, Victoria. Cesar's brother Eddie swears that Cesar smiles when he sees them play. And in my heart, I too can see him smiling.

Cesar and I were the very best of friends back at the Bronx High School of Science, graduating together with the Class of 1983. We lost touch a few years after graduation, but I finally saw him, and his fiancée, back in 2000, at TGIF near the WTC. It was great to see him again, and to see how obviously happy he was. When I saw a news report on 9/12/01 that Cesar was missing, I of course hoped for the best. I received confirmation of his passing just a couple of weeks ago, and I actually felt my heart break at the news. Our high school class is currently planning our 20th reunion. It will not be as happy an occasion without Cesar's giggly laugh and warm smile, which I still recall fondly. My thoughts and prayers go out to Cesar's wife and family, friends and co-workers. I'll always miss him, and in my heart, we'll always be friends.

I had the pleasure and honor of working with Cesar for 14 months on a rollout of software across all the Marsh offices. I spoke to Cesar almost daily. During that time we became friends - I attended his wedding, travled wit him to several Marsh offices and got to know an extraordinary person. Thanks for the laughs...... My thoughts are on you today, Cesar, God send.

I remember working with Ceasar on the various systems that he loved. Each time we talked on the phone, it was more than just business, we were friends. When systems weren't working the way we needed them to, he would show incredible perseverence and determination, to help me make my office's employees work go smoothly. As I sit here listening to the Clean-up tribute on the radio, I am hit again with how such great people were taken from us.

Cesar was one of the first people I met at Marsh since he & I were hired at the same time in 1995. We worked together on several projects over the years, and he was always cheerful and upbeat even when you'd think there was no reason to be.
